This Cannondale SL1 came in with one non-existent brake, and one which would wake the dead. The pads and rotor had been very badly contaminated, so new Shimano-MTB pads and rotors went on front and rear and both brakes got a damn good bleeding. Stopping power recovered, the bike also benefitted from a Shimano-MTB chain to round things off #cannondalebikes #shimanomtb #brakebleed

Having a new born baby in the house invariably means having to re-prioritise things for a while. However, when they’re old enough, it’s time to dust the bikes down and get them roadworthy again. Spiffy Scott bikes in for some TLC next. The chain and cassette were both past their best, so on went some Shimano-Road Ultegra goodness. The front tyre’s bead had really degraded, so we agreed that a Schwalbe tires Pro One Evo be fitted (tubeless). The PressFit bottom bracket was also past its best, so a new one was fitted along with some airevelobearings.com headset bearings #ShimanoRoad #schwalbetires

This Specialized Bicycles Globe was put in for a Premium Service and all the trimmings. The rear wheel rim was heavily worn, so a replacement was sourced with Shimano-MTB Deore hub, DT Swiss spokes and Mavic rim. Shimano-Road took care of the rear derailleur, cassette and new brake pads, whilst KMC Chain Europe provided the chain. This Giant Bicycles Defy needed a new gear hanger. Thankfully, the old one had done its job by protecting both the rear derailleur and the bike frame. The chain had been shortened so the bike could serve as an impromptu singlespeed, so a new Shimano-Road Tiagra chain was fitted, along with some super comfy Profile Design bar tape and some replacement cables to boot #giantbikes #ShimanoRoad

This Genesis Bikes came in a little the worse for wear. Shimano-MTB SLX cassette, SRAM road chainset, bottom bracket, rear derailleur pulley set and chain soon got things moving in the right direction. This Specialized Bicycles Myka earns a fair amount of its keep getting its owner to and from the base of hills and mountains. So, it had to be dependable and in good working order. Unfortunately, the front derailleur had received an impact, which meant a replacement was necessary. Fiddly would be one way of describing getting the front derailleur correctly aligned, but we got there in the end! We took the opportunity to switch out the struggling rear derailleur at the same time, so new Shimano-MTB items all round.
