andys bike clinic services

There’s nothing worse than wheeling your bike out for a ride only to find something wrong with it. That’s where Andy’s Bike Clinic can help.

Pick Up, Drop Off

Offering a pick-up and drop-off service within a ten mile radius of Linlithgow, our fully equipped Mobile Bike Mechanic’s workshop will come to your door at a time that suits you for a small fee. Smaller, simple tasks may even be completed at your home or workplace without needing to take the bike away! No more spending time fitting the bike rack, re-configuring the car, loading the bike, then travelling to the cycle shop and returning later to collect it. Your pride and joy will be safely transported to our fully equipped workshop where it will receive the best possible care. If you prefer to drop the bike(s) off to my workshop, there is a small car park you can make use of to make things a little easier.

The Extra Mile

Andy’s Bike Clinic can also pick up a bike locked up at Linlithgow Railway Station as long as I have access to the lock’s combination. Or, by prior arrangement, I can meet you at the station at a reasonable time (as long as it’s not the 6.14am to Glasgow Queen Street!) Assuming the service does not require special parts that require ordering, I can return the bike the same day.

My advice is free, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and I promise not to bamboozle you with technical jargon!

Long Life

Through regular servicing and a bit of preventative maintenance, you can really help prolong the life of your bike and its components. It can also identify any potential problems and safety issues which can avoid expensive or even dangerous breakdowns and ensure that you enjoy thousands of safe and trouble-free miles on your bike. The frequency of servicing will depend upon a number of factors; the type of bike you own, how often you ride it and the type of riding you do. And don’t forget, all work is carried out by a fully qualified Cytech Level 2 technician.

Some Smaller Print

Minimum labour charge
There is a minimum labour charge/callout of £15 which is not added to the bill if labour amounts to more than £15. Unless stated, the costs of all jobs exclude the cost of parts, but do include VAT.
*Service in areas outside a ten mile perimeter of Linlithgow will be by prior agreement.

Discounts
Children’s bikes will benefit from a discount against the four service levels detailed above. In addition, a discount will apply where more than two bikes from one customer require servicing at the same time. Wherever possible I like to minimise the amount of travelling I have to do to pick-up and drop-off bikes, so if you want to club together with friends or neighbours, that’s fine by me.

Cleaning
Andy’s Bike Clinic asks that all bikes must be relatively clean before receiving them. Past experience has taught me that diagnosis of potential problems is difficult if the bike is covered in muck! If for whatever reason you can’t clean your bike prior to me collecting it, I offer a cleaning service at the workshop which involves an additional £10 charge to the prices listed above, unless you’re having the Premium Service, where it is included.

A word on our prices
The prices published should be seen as a guide. You will be provided with an estimate for parts and labour once I have assessed the bike, and only when you have provided your approval will any work be undertaken. On most occasions, an exact price will be provided before I begin any work. However, sometimes unforeseen essential work may arise. Rest assured, I will only proceed when you are satisfied with the quote and scope of the additional work so as to avoid any nasty surprises when the bike is returned to you.

Guarantee
By default, all work and replacement parts are covered by a thirty day, no-quibble guarantee.
