PressFit bottom brackets, love ’em or hate ’em, there are plenty of them about. This Giant Bicycles Defy needed a new FULL SPEED AHEAD bottom bracket. Out came the old cups, bottom bracket shell thoroughly cleaned and prep’d (Fizzy was positively riveted as you can see), then the new cups fitted using Park Tool’s tried and trusted bearing press.

It may not be a no-expense spared road bike, but its’ owner was more than happy to invest in its’ rescue. Out went the worn/broken Shimano-Road 3300 kit to be replaced by Claris kit. Shifters, derailleurs, chainset, chain, cassette, bottom bracket and pedals all new. Shout out to BETD Components Ltd for providing the new gear hanger too.

The Giant Bicycles TCX had a wonderful time at Dukes Weekender in Aberfoyle. However, it was overdue some essential components, so SRAM MTB took care of the cassette, chain and bar tape, whilst airevelobearings.com provided the headset bearings. Running even more sweetly now.

Please meet the newest member of the team, I give you Betty (Berlingo). I’m in the process of fitting mounting points for transporting bikes, so watch this space. Once the bodywork’s been sorted, it’ll be branded up and ready for work.

This Giant Bicycles Talon was in quite a sorry state, but no more! New rubber courtesy of Schwalbe tires, inner tubes from SLIME, SunRace freewheel and KMC Chain Europe chain. The bike leads a hard life, but it shouldn’t let its owner down now.

As promised, here’s the ‘finished’ product that the Shimano-Road Tiagra chainset was bound for. New chain, cassette, bottom bracket and pads have really freshened this Ridley Bikes Crossbow up.

We do like products from Nukeproof and these Neutron pedals are no exception. Buttery smooth bearings.
